We were tasked with updating the school branding, which had grown a little tired and needed to better reflect the school and it’s values.
The brief was a complicated one, we needed to retain a ladybird with 13 spots to signify the schools that had come together, adding lots of colours without being too garish, incorporating the school’s key values of Service, Hope and Compassion, ideally incorporating a human element, making it quite modern, incorporating an illustrative style that was not too naïve, and all of this while keeping a feeling of simplicity. The values elements, were also ideally required to be split up for use elsewhere.
“Jili was professional, accommodating and inspiring during our recent re-branding project. She took time to understand our needs and skilfully incorporated our ideas and vision in the creation of a new school logo. This was all done at a very reasonable rate and within tight timeframes. Thank you Jili for beautifully capturing the spirit of our school, we are delighted with our new branding”
Sally Hay, Headteacher, Langwathby Primary School
Although challenging, creating a brand mark to satisfy all the requests was really interesting and enjoyable. We provided four detailed initial concepts, one of which was then developed and resulted in the brand you see today. The elements of the logo can be split and combined for flexible usage, and inverse versions were created for uniforms, as well as a monochrome version for everyday documentation.
